Processing JSON with the Jackson Streaming API

Characteristics

This contribution process a company saved in a JSON-file. It works directly at the file without parsing to POJO or Tree representation.

Illustration

The JsonFactory provides methods for creating JsonParsers and JsonGenerators:

A JsonParser reads the file and produces tokens for single properties as well as for JSON objects or arrays. The total method searches this tokens for the "salary"-properties and add them. A JsonGenerator writes data into a JSON file, this contribution uses the generator to cut the salaries and write it to a JSON file.

Usage

Use Gradle to build this contribution. For running and editing this contribution supports Eclipse.
